Stay airside

Under five hours, stay in the transit area: Changi's terminals are linked airside by Skytrain, with transit hotels and lounges for a shower or a nap. Jewel, the indoor waterfall, is landside, so it needs immigration both ways.

5–8 hours

Jewel Changi

Clear immigration and walk across the link bridge from Terminal 2 or 3 to Jewel for the Rain Vortex, the forest valley and food. It is part of the airport, so you're never far from your gate's terminal.

8–24 hours

Marina Bay and a hawker centre

Take the MRT or a taxi into the city: Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay for the skyline, then a hawker centre in Chinatown for dinner. Singapore is compact and taxis are metered, which makes the timing easy to control.
